About Me

This is me.

Thank you so much for being curious enough to click this page. My name is Alexis and I’m an average 22 year old girl who decided to start a blog. I’m from a small town just outside of Toronto, Canada. I recently graduated college and am working as a nurse. I live with my boyfriend of 6 years, Jake, and we have a puppy together named Breyer.

I am very passionate about all things home living, lifestyle and travel related. I love to be creative as it’s something I’ve always had a knack for and I find it to be the most satisfying thing in my life. The biggest reason that I’ve started this blog is because I feel like there’s a huge void in my life where I don’t have anywhere worthwhile to express myself. I spend most of my days day-dreaming about what my next project is going to be, online shopping for new throw pillows and then exiting the website, or organizing/re-arranging my house so it feels fresh and new again. I have a lot of ideas of things I would like to post from my past travels, home design and basically anything lifestyle related.

I just want to quickly explain the title I chose for my blog. One of my biggest inspirations of all time is…big surprise…Joanna Gaines. I recently read her book and learned about where she got the name Magnolia from and that’s kind of how I got Perennial Path. I love plants (which you’ll see) and I started looking up plant names and their meanings. After a while of searching and finding nothing I thought…hmm what about perennial. The meaning of perennial means “through the years” which I thought was very representative of myself as that’s basically what you’ll be seeing of me on this blog. Obviously I couldn’t just use perennial so I thought of Perennial Path…meaning my path through the years.

I hope you will stick with me through this journey and I appreciate each and every person and your support.

Sincerely,

Alexis
